The Ladue Rams did just enough to secure a victory over the Crowley Cajuns, 5-4, at Ballpark of Wellsville. Nobody did more than pitcher Umberto Erkelens. Erkelens picked up the win for Ladue, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. Marvin Justice collected his 4th save.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Rams grabbed the lead when Orlando Ramírez rapped a two-out double. Ladue was trailing 2-1, when Ramírez hit a 2-run double off Logan Mashiter to put his team in front, 3-2.

"It's always nice to be on the winning side," Ramírez told the Ladue Today. "But we take nothing for granted."
