The Ogallala Octopi withstood an impressive performance by Germantown designated hitter Yong-sung Kim to defeat the Uruguayans, 5-4, at Nebraska Aquarium. Kim was 2-4 with 2 home runs. Ogallala reliever Gilberto Barrón picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Michael Sutton absorbed the loss. With the win, the Octopi have a record of 7-16.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Ogallala trailing 4-3, Matt Taylor hit a fastball from Michael Sutton for a 2-run home run, giving the Octopi the walk-off win.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Taylor.
