Loss to Uruguayans Extends Ogallala Losing Streak
The Ogallala Octopi got a superb performance from pitcher Edgar Stephenson, but the Germantown Uruguayans still won the game, 7-5. Stephenson came in in relief and pitched to 19 batters. The winner was Sam Potter, who threw 113 pitches over 7.1 innings. The right-hander was charged with 5 runs on 11 hits. The current losing streak for Ogallala has reached 9 games.

Germantown used a well-timed hit by Iván Cervantes to capture the win. The left fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the second inning to put the Uruguayans ahead, 5-0. Though it was his only hit in 3 at-bats, it was important.

"Winning never gets dull," said Cervantes.
