The Grim Reapers topped the Caldwell Chiefs, 4-2, in USPL Single A action at Pipers Ballpark. The game was highlighted by the performance of Grim pitcher Jeremy Rice. Grim is in 6th place in the Premier A with a record of 43-50.

Grim used the timely hitting of Kent Yi to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Reapers ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"They played a better game than we did," said Caldwell skipper Dan Fletcher.
