U-24 Edge Past River Rats, 4-3

The Columbia River Rats got a superb performance from pitcher Juan Ramírez. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Athletic Club KC. The U-24 won the game, 4-3. Ramírez threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball. Reliever Robinson Soto picked up the win. His record improves to 5-1. Adam Vinck took the loss. Athletic Club KC is second in the Premier A with a record of 52-38.
Athletic Club KC used the clutch hitting of Kelsey Walker to snag the win. The third baseman drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the U-24 ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Walker said.
