Cut Off Crawdads starter Freddy Hernández turned in an exceptional performance against the Grim Reapers at The Coffin, resulting in a Cut Off win, 2-0. Hernández got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 7 innings. Hernández allowed no runs. John Elías finished the game for Cut Off and earned his 2nd save.
Always Wright tagged a home run off Earl Carlson in the top of the first. His solo blast put the Crawdads on top, 1-0. In all, Wright had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"Being able to contribute to a win is always a great feeling," Hernández told the Cut Off Daily.
The Crawdads now have a record of 46-43.
