Carmona Leads Lake Erie to 5-1 Win
|
The Lake Erie Arryns picked up a win at Walleye Tank, knocking off the Walla Walla Walleye, 5-1. Starting pitcher José Carmona was a big reason why. The save went to John Terry, his 16th this season. Lake Erie goes to 36-52, Walla Walla to 48-40.
Carmona, the winner, is now 3-9. In 7 innings of work, he gave up no runs on 3 hits, while collecting 9 Ks. He essentially shut down the Walla Walla offense.
"We played a good game and came out on top," said Carmona.
