Tight Tilt Goes to Cajuns, 4-3
|
In a close game at Ballpark of Henderson, the Crowley Cajuns edged the Amarillo Warheads, 4-3. Crowley center fielder Henny Clerq stood apart with his performance. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Kevin Evans finished to wrap up his 3rd save. The Warheads fall to 6-13 and continue to sputter in the early going.
Clerq had a timely hit for Crowley in the top of the seventh. With Amarillo trailing 3-2, he turned a 1-2 slider into a 2-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season, making it 4-3, Crowley.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Clerq.
