Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Ladue Rams and Ogallala Octopi.

Ladue picked up a win at Ballpark of Wellsville, toppling the Ogallala Octopi, 5-3. Pitcher Chuck Knight was one of the reasons the Rams triumphed. Mario González finished to wrap up his 7th save.

In the bottom of the seventh, Ladue catcher Len Craft had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and one out, Craft stroked a 2-run single to right. It made the score 5-3, Ladue. For the game, he went 1-4, while adding 2 RBI.

"I really like what we did out there today," Knight said after the game.

Early on, the Rams, at 12-4, have excelled.
