Cajuns Can't Finish, Lose 3-0
|
The Athletic Club KC U-21 had to overcome a good performance from Crowley pitcher Halmar Visscher to claim a 3-0 win at Ballpark of Elkhorn City. Visscher went 6 innings and allowed no runs. Tim Jones, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on no hits. Athletic Club KC is now 6-9.
Bartolo Rojas found himself in a pressure situation in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Crowley hurler Barnes van Leeuwen, the 19-year-old left fielder got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. His 5th RBI of the season put the U-21 on top, 1-0.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Rojas.
