Welch Delivers Walk-Off Win for Uruguayans
|
Germantown right-hander Sam Potter pitched his team to a shutout win, 1-0, over the Amarillo Warheads. The loss drops Amarillo to 6-8.
Justin Welch was the walk-off hero for Germantown. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Uruguayans third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Potter said.
