Hounds Win at Crowley, 4-2
|
The Hicksville Hounds got a stellar performance from pitcher Dong-hua Wang, who handcuffed the Crowley offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Titans Ballpark. In 6.1 innings, Wang surrendered 3 hits, while striking out 6 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Bob Hampton earned the save, his 2nd.
Manuel Castillo was 2-5 with a double against the Cajuns. In the top of the first inning, he reached on an error by the 3B, driving in 1 run, putting Hicksville in front, 1-0.
"Nice to get this one," said Castillo. "Wins have been hard to come by."
With the loss, Crowley falls to 3-6.
