Octopi Stick Warheads with 3-1 Loss
|
In a well-pitched game between the Ogallala Octopi and the Amarillo Warheads, pitcher Daniel Shields was fantastic. The Ogallala right-hander helped his team secure the win, 3-1. Shields picked up the win for Ogallala, going 5 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. Quan Situ earned the save, his 1st.
Ogallala relied on the hitting of Steef Advocaat to pick up the win. The first baseman clubbed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Octopi on top, 2-1. For the game, Advocaat had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Advocaat.
The loss drops Amarillo to 2-4.
