Caldwell Chiefs starter John McCarthy hurled his team past the Cut Off Crawdads, 2-1. The Chiefs go to 15-19, putting them 7th in the Premier A.
With one out in the bottom of the seventh, Brad McGee had a game-changing hit. The Chiefs third baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Iasepa Keli, making the score 2-1, Caldwell.
McGee called the win "a team effort."
