Airmen Win Thriller, 5-4
The Levittown Blue Dragons and Alameda Airmen provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Alameda Airmen defeated the Levittown Blue Dragons, 5-4, in USSL Single A action at Alameda Field. Alameda pitcher Phil Krause had a standout performance. Alameda reliever Eric Morgan was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Mike Thomas took the loss.

The Airmen were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when pinch hitter Sergio Palma turned a 1-2 curveball from Mike Thomas into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Alameda Field denizens and sent the Airmen home with a thrilling 5-4 win.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Alameda manager Gonzalo Féliz.

At 52-42, the Airmen are currently 5th in the Silver A.
