Generals, Thompson Deal Hobeaus 4-1 Setback
|
The Washington Generals racked up a win at Washington Park, bumping off the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 4-1. Lou Thompson, who started for Washington, pitched effectively for his team. The 8th-place Generals improved to 41-49.
Thompson gave Washington a solid start. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit over 7.1 innings.
"We take it day by day here," said Thompson, "and today was a good one for us."
