Seahawks Stay Hot With 2-0 Win
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks extended their winning streak.
The Washington Generals wasted an inspired, 6.1-inning effort from starter Lou Thompson, falling 2-0 to the Myrtle Beach Seahawks at Seahwaks Stadium. Myrtle Beach reliever Paul Montgomery picked up the win, upping his record to 7-2. Lou Thompson was saddled with the loss. Min-zhong Lang was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 4 save opportunities.
Ánibal Hernández had a big hit for Myrtle Beach in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Myrtle Beach leading 1-0, Hernández hit a solo home run. It was his 5th home run of the season and put the Seahawks up, 2-0.
"We feel like we're going to win every game right now," said Myrtle Beach skipper Tom Oglander.
The winning continues for Myrtle Beach, with the latest making it 8 straight.
