van Houwelingen hits 2 home runs, Leads Godfathers to Win

Behind a fine performance from Kobbe van Houwelingen, the Pontiac Godfathers knocked off the Smoky Mountain Hobeaus, 6-3. van Houwelingen went 2-4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Godfathers. Warren Cleveland recorded the save for Pontiac, his 1st of the season. Pontiac now sits in first place in the Silver A at 45-26.
Pontiac grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when van Houwelingen, who leads the SA in home runs with 17, hit a grand slam home run. His 17th home run of the season put the Godfathers out in front, 4-2.
"Winning never gets dull," said van Houwelingen.
