The Delmarva Gallos got a stellar performance from pitcher Ted Elkins, who handcuffed the Monroeville offense en route to a win, 8-2, at Dragoons War Memorial Stadium. Delmarva is now 37-32.

Elkins, who has sometimes raised the ire of coaches and teammates with his famously lackadaisical work ethic, turned in a spirited effort. The hurler struck out 7 in 7.1 innings and gave up no runs.

Elkins, who is tied for 9th in the SA in wins with 6, moves to 6-2 on the year with 68 strikeouts.

"We were firing on all cylinders today," said Gallos manager John Moore.
