Michael Austin was a major factor in the 14-1 Delmarva win over Smoky Mountain. The Gallos catcher was 3-5 with 3 singles and a walk, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. The Gallos, at 35-31, sit in 5th place in the Silver A.

With Delmarva leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Austin hit a 2-run single off Smoky Mountain hurler Ron Cox. It was the 41st hit of the season for Austin and put his team ahead, 3-0.
