Montés Propels Seahawks to 7-2 Win
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks topped the Belleville Bulls, 7-2, with youngster José Montés playing a key role. Montés was 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3 for the Seahawks in the win. Myrtle Beach reliever Manuel Liscano picked up the win, upping his record to 2-3. Félix Pérez absorbed the loss. Ricardo Moya earned save number 4 this season.
In the first inning, Montés had a 2-run double for Myrtle Beach. It was his 13th double of the season and put the Seahawks on top, 2-0.
