Jim Lambert was outstanding against Delmarva. The right-hander had a slider that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Godfathers 5-3 win. The win was credited to Warren Cleveland in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Benedito Punahele took the loss. The first-place Godfathers have a one-game lead in their division.

The Godfathers got an important contribution from designated hitter António Castillo, who in the bottom of the sixth punched a 0-1 fastball into right-center for a 2-run double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Godfathers ahead, 5-3.

"We've got a great group of guys," Lambert said, "and we're having fun right now."
