Behind Mullen, Generals Beat Gallos, 2-0
|
In a low-scoring game between the Washington Generals and the Delmarva Gallos, pitcher Ray Mullen was masterful on the mound. The Washington right-hander spearheaded his team's 2-0 win. Bill Joseph recorded the save, his 6th. Washington is 5th in the Silver A with a record of 23-22.
Mullen, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 3-0. In 8 innings of work, Mullen gave up no runs on 1 hit, while racking up 6 Ks. He kept the Gallos punchless, offensively.
In comments to the Washington Citizen, Mullen admitted that he doesn't always push himself. "But the results," he said, "speak for themselves."
