Delmarva pitcher Louis Bainbridge did his part in helping his team beat the Washington Generals, 3-1. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Álex Encarnación got credit for the save for Delmarva. It was his 2nd of the year. Delmarva is 7th in the Silver A with a record of 21-22.

Delmarva used the timely hitting of Scott Davis to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Gallos on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We'll savor this win," Davis told the Delmarva Bulletin, "then get ready for the next game."
