Is it better to be lucky or good?

After leading the Pontiac Godfathers to victory, 1-0, and tossing a no-hitter over the Myrtle Beach Seahawks, Júlio Medina didn't have the answer.

"I don't know," Medina said. "To do what I did today, I'm pretty sure it takes both."

On his big day at Seahwaks Stadium, Medina fanned 9 and had 2 walks. And it seemed that when the Seahawks managed to hit the ball hard, it went right at a defender.

"That's how you get a no-hitter," Medina said with a smile. "A lot of skill mixed with a little luck."

Looking at his season stats, Medina has won 7 and lost 1, collecting 77 strikeouts and 14 walks in 62.1 innings with a 1.44 ERA.
