Blue Dragons Pull Off Thrilling 2-1 Win in Extras
|
Levittown right-hander Toshiki Matsushita helped his team edge Myrtle Beach by the score of 2-1. Matsushita kept the opposing lineup in check. Steven Carter, now 2-0, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 0 and walking 0. Levittown now sits at 25-16, while Myrtle Beach falls to 19-22.
The Blue Dragons procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Alastair Warnes. In the bottom of the 16th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"The game of baseball will test you," said Sal Haynes, the Levittown skipper. "This one tested us."
