The Delmarva Gallos picked up a win at Put-In-Bay Ballpark, knocking off the Put-In-Bay Commodores, 3-1. On the mound for Delmarva was left-hander Ted Elkins, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winning pitcher was Elkins, now 3-1. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 0 and fanning 5. Earning his 4th save for Delmarva was Benedito Punahele.
Sammy Baldwin took Demy Theunen deep in the top of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Gallos on top, 3-1. In all, Baldwin had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
"We faced good pitching and still got it done," said Baldwin.
The 7th-place Gallos improved to 19-20.
