Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Godfathers
The Belleville Bulls went down to defeat to Paul Ray and his Pontiac teammates. The final score was 5-2 in favor of the Godfathers. Ray got the win, improving to 4-1. He allowed 7 hits and walked 2 over 8 innings. Ray allowed 2 runs. The save was credited to Mitch O'Sullivan, his 9th.

Pontiac used a timely hit from Lance Guy to get the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Godfathers ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it made an impact.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Pontiac skipper Allen Yohemas.

The Godfathers go to 18-11, putting them third in the Silver A.
