Ernesto Vázquez knocked in 3 runs to help Pontiac beat Delmarva, 7-4. Vázquez produced 1 single, 1 double, and 1 home run. The winner in relief was Salvador Martínez. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 3-3. The third-place Godfathers sport a record of 16-11.

In the top of the eighth, Vázquez put his team in front with his 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which came against Otis Mullen, made it 6-4, Pontiac.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Vázquez told the Pontiac News. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
