3-1 Seahawks Win over Godfathers Evens Season Record
|
The Myrtle Beach Seahawks got a magnificent performance from pitcher Francisco Suárez, who stifled the Pontiac offense en route to a 3-1 Seahawks win at Pontiac Copperdome. Suárez, now 2-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 1 run. Ray Stevenson collected his 7th save.
Jeffrey Harris didn't waste any time giving his team the lead. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to put Myrtle Beach on top, 2-0.
"We take it day by day here," said Harris, "and today was a good one for us."
The win elevated the Seahawks to 10-10.
