Dominant Performance by Medina in Pontiac Win
|
Starting pitcher Júlio Medina did his part in helping the Pontiac Godfathers thwart the Monroeville Yinzers, 4-1. Mitch O'Sullivan got the save, the 5th for him this season. Pontiac is now 10-7.
Medina, a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, was dealing all game. He kept Monroeville hitters off-balance, while giving the Godfathers 8 quality innings. Medina threw 90 pitches, allowing 2 hits and striking out 8.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Pontiac skipper Allen Yohemas.
