The Idaho Falls Chukars picked up a win at Idaho Falls Park, taking down the Eugene Vandals, 4-0. Starting pitcher Dave Sandoval was a big reason why. The Chukars, at 65-29, lead by one game in their division.
Sandoval, the winning pitcher, raised his record to 8-2. In 8 innings of work, Sandoval gave up no runs on 3 hits, while racking up 5 Ks. He kept the Vandals punchless, offensively.
"I thought we played a nice game," Sandoval told the Idaho Falls Daily. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
