Holy City got a valiant performance from pitcher Al Leonard, but it wasn't enough to beat the Yucca Valley Yellows. Yucca Valley won the game, 4-3. Leonard threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Sean Reed, now 3-2, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. The win puts the Yellows at 44-49, while the Herons drop to 48-45.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Yucca Valley trailing 3-2, Tom Murray hit a fastball from Miguel Hernández to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Yellows had a walk-off win.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Murray said.
