Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Delmarva Gallos were eager to watch Louis Bainbridge square off against Lonnie Burton of the visiting Pontiac Godfathers. In the end, the Gallos won the game, 3-1, with Louis Bainbridge leading the way. Getting the save was Benedito Punahele, his 1st.

Delmarva took a 2-0 lead on Reginald Owens's 1st double of the season. The 2-run double, which Owens hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Pontiac pitcher Lonnie Burton shaking his head.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Bainbridge.
