The Niagara Falls Expos got a strong performance from pitcher George Foster, who stymied the Yucca Valley offense en route to a win, 4-2, at Ballpark of Yucca Valley. Foster, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 6 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. The 9th-place Expos lifted their record to 26-38.
Ben Crosby, the 23-year old first baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Crosby contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning to put Niagara Falls up, 1-0.
