Behind an impressive start by Luke Riley, Mancelona beat Niagara Falls, 4-1. Riley picked up the win for Mancelona, going 6 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-8. Jaime Trujillo was called on to finish, recording his 10th save.
Mancelona used a well-timed hit by Roberto Inostraza to capture the win. The left fielder socked a run-scoring double in the top of the fourth inning to put the Torch ahead, 1-0. Though it was his only hit in 2 at-bats, it was important.
"I liked the focus, I liked the effort," said Torch manager Simon Banks.
