Expos Tag Hawks with 3-1 Loss
|
Niagara Falls got a strong outing from George Foster as the Expos defeated the Laredo Hawks, 3-1, at Hawks Field. Niagara Falls reliever Chad McDonald picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Floyd Sharpe shouldered the loss. Tony Mireles was credited with the save for Niagara Falls, his 1st of the season.
Niagara Falls used the clutch hitting of Ben Crosby to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Expos the lead, 2-1. For the game, Crosby had 1 single and 2 doubles in 5 at-bats.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Crosby.
Niagara Falls, with the win, is 18-34.
