The Huntington Hermit Crabs beat the Alaskan Bush Pilots, 5-0, at Bush Pilots Park. The Hermit Crabs got a fine performance from right fielder Reese Anderson, who was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The winning pitcher was Roger Marshall. His record is now 4-1. The left-hander went 5 innings, allowing no runs on 1 hit for the Hermit Crabs. Huntington is now 21-14. Alaskan is 15-20.
Huntington took a 5-0 lead on Anderson's 2nd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Will Feeney in the top of the eighth, propelled Huntington to the win.
