Krewe Take Down Thunder, 7-6
The Crescent City Krewe topped the St. Petersburg Thunder, 7-6, with left fielder Joseph Vowles playing a big role. Vowles hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 4 for the Krewe in the win. Crescent City reliever Vincent Sturm picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Ed Wheeler took the loss. Crescent City leads the Premier AA by 3½ games.

The game came to a dramatic end. In the bottom of the ninth, with Crescent City trailing 6-5, Vowles hit a slider from Ed Wheeler for a 2-run home run, giving the Krewe the walk-off win.

"I like winning," Vowles told the Crescent City Citizen. "I may joke around, but when it comes down to it, winning is the most important thing."
