With designated hitter Hyun-jung Yi leading the charge, the Billings Polar Bears defeated the Bethesda Atoms, 7-1, at Atoms Field. Yi was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The Polar Bears sit in 8th place in the Premier AA with a record of 40-57.

Billings used a well-timed hit by Manny Sánchez to capture the win. The catcher socked a 2-run double in the top of the second inning to put the Polar Bears ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I thought we played a nice game," Sánchez told the Billings News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
