Screaming Eagles Lose Late, 8-7
Fighting Imps third baseman Paul Johnston put his stamp on his team's 8-7 win over the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles. Johnston slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice for Ithaca in the contest. Ithaca reliever Emery Kehler was the winner. His record is now 3-4. The losing pitcher was Charles Jones. Ithaca now sits in 8th place in the Premier AA at 38-50.

The Fighting Imps were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when second baseman Evan Winn turned a 0-2 sinker from Jeff Cook into a 2-run single. The walk-off single electrified the Imps Park denizens and sent the Fighting Imps home with a thrilling 8-7 win.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Winn said.
