It took 16 innings to settle this one.

In a tight contest at Old-Timers Park, the Minnesota Loons edged the Northville Eclipse by the score of 5-4. Minnesota catcher Michael Forrest, who blasted 1 home run, was a key contributor. Minnesota reliever Matt Dougherty got the win, raising his record to 4-0. Rodney Craig was tagged with the loss.

Forrest had a game-changing home run in the top of the 16th. On a first pitch fastball from Rodney Craig, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Loons a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Forrest.

"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Eddie O'Bryan.

The Loons, at 51-35, sit in third place in the Premier AA.
