Baby Thunder Dome was the site for USPL Double A action featuring the St. Petersburg Thunder and Mercer Island Screaming Eagles.

Good production from shortstop Tyrone Higgins helped the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles topple the St. Petersburg Thunder, 8-4. Higgins went 4 for 4 with 4 singles and a walk, while scoring 3 times for the Screaming Eagles. The third-place Screaming Eagles sport a record of 39-27.

In the top of the second, with Mercer Island leading 2-0, left fielder Esteban Mejía hit a run-scoring single. The hit came off Jorge García and put the Screaming Eagles ahead, 3-0.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Mejía said. "We did a good job of that today."
