In a tight affair between the Bethesda Atoms and the Billings Polar Bears, pitcher Robby MacGregor was in the zone. The Bethesda left-hander helped his team win the game, 3-0. Michael Humphreys got the save, the 5th for him this season. With the win, Bethesda raised its record to 37-25.

Having an impact for Bethesda was Claude Thomas. In the top of the sixth inning, the 22-year old center fielder had a run-scoring walk to make the score 3-0, Atoms.
