Polar Bears Lose Again, 7-3, to Screaming Eagles
Mercer Island shortstop Tyrone Higgins made his presence felt in the 7-3 Screaming Eagles triumph over the Billings Polar Bears. Higgins went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Gustavo Carrillo, now 5-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. The Screaming Eagles sit in 4th place in the Premier AA with a record of 34-25.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Screaming Eagles grabbed the lead when Higgins hit his 2nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Huibrecht Brouwers made it 7-3, Mercer Island.

"Everyone's kind of edgy right now," said losing manager Steve Ferguson, "but nothing a couple of wins wouldn't cure."
