The Billings Polar Bears topped the Asheville Highlanders, 5-3, in USPL Double A action at Asheville Park. The standout performance belonged to Billings pitcher and Pago Pago, American Samoa, native Mikilana Lokela. Bruce Lewis, now 2-3, was credited with the win. He allowed no runs on no hits, while striking out 1 and walking 2. Richard Kinmont earned the save, his 14th.

Ismael Carrillo chipped in for Billings, stroking a crucial run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 5.

"I still have a lot of confidence in this team," Billings manager Steve Ferguson said afterward.

The 'W' lifts Billings's record to 21-29.
