Hermit Crabs Beat Expos, 6-1
|
Huntington used a superb performance from starting pitcher Tony Hensley to down the Niagara Falls Expos, 6-1. The winning pitcher was Hensley, now 2-1. He tossed 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 6. José Núñez picked up the save, his 1st.
The Hermit Crabs got an important contribution from third baseman Edgardo Hernández, who in the top of the fourth punched a full count sinker into left for a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Hermit Crabs ahead, 2-0.
"I play this game for myself and my family, but of course it's always nice when we can win," said Hernández.
The win lifts Huntington to a record of 4-9.
