Ithaca and Billings duked it out and the Fighting Imps came out victorious.

Ithaca got a strong outing from Millard Clement as the Fighting Imps defeated the Billings Polar Bears, 3-1, at Imps Park. Clement, the winner, moves to 3-3. He threw 6 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 2 walks. Earning his 9th save of the year was Emery Kehler.

The Fighting Imps got a big at-bat from third baseman Paul Johnston. For the game, Johnston went 2 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 6th double of the season gave Ithaca a 2-1 lead.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Clement told reporters after the game.

The Fighting Imps go to 18-28 with the win.
