Adam Walker never let the Screaming Eagles get in a groove. The left-hander used his bread and butter, his changeup, to pitch the Fighting Imps to a win, 6-1. Ithaca is 16-28 and Mercer Island, with the loss, 24-20.

Paul Johnston drew 1 walk for Ithaca. The 23-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring walk off Lloyd Best. It was his 10th walk of the season.

"Adam -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Fighting Imps manager Albert Pérez. "He was the key to us winning."
