Thunder Edge Past Loons, 2-1

St. Petersburg and Minnesota duked it out and the Thunder came out victorious.
The St. Petersburg Thunder topped the Minnesota Loons, 2-1, in USPL Double A action at Baby Thunder Dome. The standout performance belonged to St. Petersburg pitcher and Port-au-Prince, Haiti, native André Chambon. The winner was Randy Crane in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Waweru Kamili took the loss. Albert Silver finished to wrap up his 9th save.
St. Petersburg took a 2-1 lead on William Stewart's 2nd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Stewart hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Minnesota pitcher Waweru Kamili shaking his head.
"We take it day by day here," said Stewart, "and today was a good one for us."
St. Petersburg's record now stands at 18-25, placing them 7th in the Premier AA.
